Listening to natures words

Let me run free in life’s fields

Smelling the flowers of the world

Let me lay amongst the grass

Listening to natures words

As she tells me of the things

That have been

Let me fall asleep within her

Arms as stories she tells me

Of the future and what there is

To come

Let me run free in the fields

Of life experiencing the fun

Of being alive and the freedom

Of the sun

To come and go as it pleases

Shining on eveyone

Let me run free

Let me run

Free

How can it be that one image

Reflects so many different things

To some hope and aspirations

But yet to others it brings despair

In all its glory for yet others still

An imaginary story of not what

They see but what they feel

Do we see with open minds

Do we view the world the same

Is there individual perception

As there is individual pain

For are not all things relative

To the ones in the centre

No wonder there is no hope

Of the world getting better

How can it be that one image

Means so many different things

Let me out let me out let me out
I’ve been here for such a long time
There’s nothing else I want to learn
There’s nothing left to find
Education such a fallacy it’s about
Division and control don’t you see
Works about monopoly what you
Can afford to buy not who you
Want to be
Let me out let me out let me out
Of the confines of my mind

It doesn’t look real the
Carnage burning rubber
Dismembered body parts
Waiting to be discovered
Broken toys and bits of
Homes rescue workers
Running like drones the
Press outnumber the weary
Cramming round for that
Perfect picture as some
Poor soul nears death
It doesn’t look real the
Broken buildings cars
Crushed and changed
By the blast no longer
Of use to only pay witness
As the last act of desperate
Men willing to inflict despair
Upon a population that seems
Not to really care the man
Lights a cigarette and looks
At his watch as they take
Yet another body away
It doesn’t look real the
Reality of death not like
In the movies no stars
Playing parts of keeping
Things together all here
Seems destroyed as if it
Will be forever
It doesn’t look real to me

What part do you play in

Life’s story

For you is it just

Jackanory the telling

Of tales increases

The sales or was

It for gods glory

What part do you play in

The demise

Of children’s lives hidden

Cries of pain and

Misery

Hay not to worry

Lets just change the

Channel on tv
